Notes to participants
SUPPORT ON ARRIVAL
For sponsored participants, busses will be available at the airport for transfer to the Hotel. Volunteers will be visible at the arrival gate of the airport for guidance. The schedule of the shuttles will be communicated in due time on the congress’ web page (www.csrs.ch/aps/eng/index.php). Non sponsored participants may contact the organizers at firstname.lastname@example.org to take advantage of possible available seats. Otherwise, volunteers may assist participants to hire a taxi (www.afri-cab.com or www.taxijet.ci). Average costs for the transportation from the airport to the hotel is XOF 10,000. You may have to wait up to 20 mn to get a taxi unless you book before your arrival day. If you hire through our volunteers, they might connect you to possible candidates with whom you may share costs
Participants out of ECOWAS area need a visa to enter Côte d’Ivoire. If you have not an embassy in your country, you can use this online application to get the visas at arrival.

Sponsored participants will be staying at Free World Hotel, 20 min walk from conference venue. A shuttle will be organized once every morning and every evening. The detailed schedule will be available at the hotel reception.
The hotel will have the list of all participants. Extras (telephone, drinks, dinner etc) must be paid at reception before departure.
For those who have to pay on their own, a list of recommended hotels will be available soon on this page with negotiated costs. Average non-negotiated costs vary between XOF 25,000 – 50,000 per night (which are on a bed & breakfast basis).
The meeting will be held at the WASCAL campus of the Université Félix Houphouet-Boigny in Bingerville, which is in the Abidjan suburb. The pre-programme is available on the congress’ web page (www.csrs.ch/aps/eng/progamme.php). The detailed program will be displayed on the Congress’web page as soon as possible.
Internet / COMPUTERS
Wireless connection will be available free of charge at the hotel and at the conference venue.

Please note that the official language in Côte d’Ivoire is French.
Participants staying at the Free World Hotel may have dinner at the hotel. However you are advised to check with organization members in case you want to leave the hotel. The average cost for a dinner is XOF 3,500-5,000.
On arrival; please submit your tickets to Miss Mariama Barry to enable us to reconfirm your return flights and help for transport to the airport.
COFFEE / TEA BREAKS and LUNCHES
Coffee and tea will be served during the morning and afternoon breaks at the meeting venue.
Each participant must take the breakfast in his hotel.
Lunch will be served at the campus at reduced costs. The average cost for a sufficient meal is XOF 2,500.
