New partnerships in the future : A delegation from the International University of Grand-Bassam visits the CSRS

A delegation from the International University of Grand Bassam (UIGB) visited the Centre Suisse de Recherches Scientifiques en Côte d'Ivoire (CSRS) on Monday morning, 28 November 2016. There were 12 people, including 9 students, 2 teachers and a laboratory technician. This visit was part of the initiation course in biology initiated by the university and the possibility of a collaboration agreement with the CSRS. All CSRS staff and researchers, starting with the Director General, Bassirou Bonfoh, were mobilized to welcome the UIGB delegation and respond to their information needs. A presentation of the mission, structure and main activities of the CSRS was made by Prof. Bassirou Bonfoh. It ended with exchanges with UIGB students. Under the leadership of Dr Aka-Gbezo Solange, Head of CSRS Laboratories, the delegation then visited the Willy Müller Telecentre, followed by the Microbiology, Chemistry and Parasitology laboratories and the Insectarium before going to the Communication Department. Herbarium and the Library. For each entity visited, they were maintained by the managers who gave them their attributions as well as their particularities in the operation of the CSRS. The visit was completed by a refreshment offered by the Directorate General of CSRS to its hosts.
