CSRS-Learning Package 2017: About thirty researchers trained in research excellence and project mobilization

The Centre Suisse de Recherches Scientifiques in Côte d’Ivoire (CSRS), in collaboration with the Afrique One-ASPIRE research Consortium, organized its traditional training called 'Learning Package' from Monday 23rd to Thursday 26th January 2017. This is aimed at strengthening research capacities and is aimed at Postdocs, PhD students and Masters students affiliated or not to CSRS. A total of 28 researchers participated in the 2017 edition and received from Prof. Bassirou Bonfoh, Director General of CSRS and CSRS researchers and employees, including Dr Aurélie Cailleau, training coordinator of Afrique One-ASPIRE, training modules on life in a research institute, principles related to Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, the development and planning of research projects, research and bibliographic management and computing applied to scientific research. It was with real interest that they  attended the training, which ended with a handing-over of certificates. The participants did not fail to express their thanks to the CSIS Directorate for this initiative. About the Learning Package The Learning Package was developed by CSRS to provide young African scientists with the essential tools to become internationally competitive. The Learning Package has been organized repeatedly in West Africa (Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Mali) and in the East (Tanzania). It contains up to 18 modules delivered to the card according to the specific needs expressed by institutions. These modules are delivered by trainers accredited by the CSRS, and are all accompanied by practical exercises that ensure a good understanding of the content.
