Vocational Training: The Potentialities of CSRS are of Interest to the Ivorian Ministry of State in Charge of Technical Education and Vocational Training

A delegation of eight members of the Ivorian Ministry of State for Technical Education and Vocational Training (METFP) and the Federal Institute for Advanced Studies in Vocational Training (IFFP) headed by Mr. Amra Kamaté, Technical Advisor METFP visited the CSRS on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. After a mission to Switzerland to immerse itself in the Swiss experience in vocational and continuing training, the METFP decided to visit the CSRS on the recommendation of the Swiss Embassy in Côte d'Ivoire. It should be pointed out that the CSRS with more than sixty years of expertise is the fruit of the Ivoiro-Swiss collaboration in terms of research and capacity building in research. The visit of the CSRS is part of a global mission of exploring Ivorian training bodies and bodies by the IFFP and METFP to get become familiar with the local vocational training system. A rich content tour that began with a presentation of the institution by Prof. Inza Koné, head of the CSRS Research and Development Department. After this presentation, several exchanges followed with a particular interest on the potentialities of CSRS in teletraining and its collaborations with the University of Geneva and the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL) in the realization of Massive Open Online Classes (MOOCs). Following the exchanges, the delegation visited the CSRS infrastructures, including the laboratories. This visit, which left all participating parties satisfied and inspired, foreshadows future partnerships in training and capacity building for CSRS.
