Certifications, upgrading to infrastructure standards, quality publications ... the CSRS Board welcomes the advances

Held this Thursday, December 12, 2019, the second meeting of the CSRS Board of Directors (CA) was an opportunity for its members to congratulate themselves on the work accomplished during the year.

With the actual presence of Prof. Jürg Utzinger, Director of the Swiss TPH (Leading house of the CSRS) who chaired this session in the absence of Pétrolyne Accay-Zenbgé, Director General of Research and Innovation and President of the said council and the participation by teleconference of Prof. Marcel Tanner, Director of the Swiss Academy of Natural Sciences (SCNAT), this CA allowed to review the level of completion of the activities planned for the year 2019.

In an environment of increasing scarcity of resources, the CSRS has successfully carried out its various reforms and investment projects. The General Management of the CSRS was warmly congratulated for its careful management of resources. The 2019 budget execution has been adopted and the 2020 budgets approved.

The Swiss TPH and the SCNAT are committed to supporting the project to upgrade the electrical installations of the CSRS. In fact, in 2019, the CSRS began a global project to renovate and upgrade its infrastructure on its Adiopodoumé site.

The members of the Board also welcomed the good progress of the structuring activities relative to the reorganization of the research groups and also the increase in research projects in accordance with the new orientations of the 2019-2023 strategic plan.

It should be noted that this 23rd session of the CA saw the participation of Ms. Anne Lugon-Moulin, new Ambassador of Switzerland to Côte d'Ivoire and of the consular district comprising Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
