How to improve the competitiveness and visibility of its researchers / The CSRS initiates training on project writing

Faced with the challenges of declining research funding, the CSRS must improve the environment surrounding its research activities and above all to substantially increase the capacity of its researchers to propose innovative, attractive and quality projects.

With this in mind, from November 13 to 14, 2019, a training workshop on writing a research project in the form of exchanges and sharing of experiences, bringing together all the heads of research groups, the heads of Activity Areas Priority (DAP), senior researchers, project managers, and postdoc researchers, was held at the headquarters of the CSRS, Adiopodoumé, Km 17 to strengthen the capacities of these researchers in order to respond effectively and over time to administrative requirements and scientific calls for project submission.

This scientific meeting was led by researchers experienced in writing research projects as well as in collaboration with external partners. Illustrious Ivorian researchers, such as Prof. J. Tondoh & Prof. J. Pita honored their presence and provided concrete advice to the audience regarding fundraising strategies. This was followed by very constructive discussions with the contributions of postdoc researchers and the sharing of experiences of successes and failures in the submission of projects by a few project managers. The two training days, very enriching for each of the participants, ended with the delivery of training certificates.
