Members of the Board of Directors congratulating Prof. Inza Koné on receiving his award.

In preparation for its second Board of Directors meeting for the year 2025, the CSRS organized a memorable gathering on the afternoon of Monday, August 4, bringing together members of the Board of Directors, researchers, and staff.

In a warm atmosphere, participants had the honor of welcoming a new member, Professor Christine Ouinsavi, Full Professor of Silviculture and Forest Biology, Director of the Forest Studies and Research Laboratory at the University of Parakou, former Minister of the Government of Benin, as well as two guests, Mr. Alexander Schulze of Swiss TPH, invited by Prof. Juerg Utzinger, and Ms. Deborah Attolini, new Embassy Advisor, representing the Swiss Ambassador, whose presence added a special touch to the event.

The aim of this meeting was to promote a friendly exchange between the different components of the institution, to strengthen internal cohesion, and to share the institution's development prospects.

Then, a highlight of this meeting was undoubtedly the presentation of the prestigious National Award of Excellence for Best CIV Researcher, awarded by the President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to the Director General, Prof. Inza Koné, in recognition of his commitment and contributions to scientific research and national academic influence. The Director General shared this moment of pride with all his colleagues, who enthusiastically welcomed this distinction with loud applause. His words were simple but conveyed palpable emotion: “I dedicate this award to the CSRS and to each and every one of you!” "

The discussions ended in a festive atmosphere, giving way to the members of the Board of Directors for the effective holding of the 2nd session of the Council.
