The series of working visits continues!

Prof. Jérémie ZOUEU, Director General of the CSRS, accompanied by the Director of Research and Development (DRD), Dr. Daouda DAO; Prof. Georgette KONAN, Head of the DNA Research Division; and Dr. Valéry HGAZA, a researcher at the CSRS, paid a visit on the afternoon of Thursday, July 16, 2026, to the National Center for Agricultural Research (CNRA) located at the Cocody Regional Office of the General Directorate.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Abdourahamane SANGARE, Director General of the CNRA, and his delegation, who were quick to commend Prof. ZOUEU’s initiative and express their deep gratitude to him.

During their discussions, the two officials expressed their commitment to improving collaboration between their organizations. Aware of the challenges posed by land-use pressures currently threatening the CNRA site (Adiopodoumé), they agreed to work together to preserve and protect this area, which is home to both institutions.

Furthermore, the discussions highlighted the need to create synergies in order to attract new projects and strengthen their respective positions. With this in mind, it was decided to draft a framework agreement formalizing the cooperation between the CNRA and the CSRS.

Finally, the CNRA was officially invited to participate in the festivities marking the CSRS’s 75th anniversary, which will take place in September 2026. This visit marks an important step in bringing the two institutions closer together and paves the way for formalized, strengthened, and sustainable collaboration.
