The Centre Suisse de Recherches Scientifiques en Côte d'Ivoire successfully organized, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in the Hortense FAYE-KETTE conference room at the Institut Pasteur de Côte d'Ivoire, a Scientific Day dedicated to the fight against malaria, bringing together researchers, decision-makers, and national and international partners (Novartis, Institut Pasteur de Côte d'Ivoire Swiss TPH, l'Institut National de Santé Publique de CIV, Ministère de la Santé, de l'Hygiène Publique et de la Couverture Maladie Universelle (Côte d'Ivoire) Programme National De Lutte Contre Le Paludisme DIRECTION GENERALE DE LA RECHERCHE ET DE L'INNOVATION MESRS Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center ).
Held as part of the CSRS’s 75th-anniversary celebrations, this event provided an opportunity to:
- Highlight the CSRS’s 25 years of expertise and research in the fight against malaria
- Share scientific innovations and advances involving local institutions and international partners
- Initiate collective discussions on future priorities and strategies to combat this major disease in Africa.
Through scientific presentations, panel discussions, and dynamic exchanges, participants emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between research, public policy, and technical partners to accelerate the impact of interventions.
This event also served as an opportunity to strengthen partnerships and open new avenues for a more effective and sustainable fight against malaria in Côte d’Ivoire and beyond.
