Songon, 27 May 2023 (AIP)- On Friday 26 May 2023, the Centre Suisse de Recherches Scientifiques in Côte d'Ivoire (CSRS) organised a day of exchange and impregnation on the achievements and potential of the centre at its site in Adiopodoumé, as part of the International Fortnight for Science and Technology.

Organised by the Directorate General for Research and Innovation (DGRI) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the QIST aims to strengthen scientific culture among pupils and students, entrepreneurs and innovators, technical and financial partners and political decision-makers. It also aims to encourage genuine interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics among pupils and students.

"This initiative is a great opportunity to raise the profile of the CSRS and popularise the results of research among the general public and students", added the Director of Research, Prof. Bamba Aboudramane.

The Director General of the CSRS, Pr Inza Koné, presented the ways in which research can contribute to transforming Ivorian society within the framework of sustainable development.

The fortnight at the CSRS ended with a guided tour of the CSRS laboratories and discussions with pupils, students and various professionals.
