The Centre Suisse de Recherches Scientifiques en Côte d’Ivoire (CSRS) held the first meeting of its Scientific Council (CS) for the 2026–2030 term on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

This inaugural meeting, chaired by Professor Véronique YOBOUET, brought together the Director General, Prof. Jérémie Zoueu, and the other members of the Scientific Council to discuss the major strategic directions that will guide the institution over the next four years.

Central to the discussions was the presentation of the 2026–2030 strategic roadmap. The members of the Scientific Council examined the scientific priorities proposed for the coming years, their alignment with major national, regional, and international challenges, as well as their integration with the new organizational structure proposed for the institution.

The discussions also focused on issues of scientific governance, organization, and research performance. Several areas for improvement were addressed, including strengthening research, enhancing the quality and visibility of scientific output, developing strategic partnerships, and establishing internal evaluation mechanisms for research units.

This session marked an important milestone in the new institutional momentum initiated by the General Directorate since the start of this new cycle.
