Call for Applications:    Post-Congress Training Program at the Third Congress

                                                      of the African Primatological Society

Location: Potchefstroom, South Africa

Topic: Designing and Implementing Primate Conservation Strategies

 The African Primatological Society (APS) is pleased to announce a call for applications for the PostCongress Training Program, to be held immediately following the Third Congress of the APS in Potchefstroom, South Africa. This specialized training is designed for young academics and practitioners who are passionate about primate conservation and are eager to develop their skills in designing and implementing eKective conservation strategies.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Applicants must be fully registered African participants of the Third Congress of the African Primatological Society. - Applicants must be at the early stage of their career or at mid-career.

- Applicants must be either fluent in English or able to understand English with very little translation in French when necessary.

- Applicants must possess a visa valid until at least 1st October 2024 (You may apply while your visa is being processed but the final decision will depend on your visa application result).

- Applicants must be available to attend the entirety of the training program.

Program Overview: The training program will take place from 28 to 30 September 2024 in English and will focus on the theme "Designing and Implementing Primate Conservation Strategies." Participants will engage in interactive workshops, case studies, and practical sessions led by experts in the field of primate conservation. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, network with leading professionals, and enhance your conservation skills.

 Application Requirements:

1. Motivation Letter in English or French: Explain your interest in primate conservation, your career goals, and how this training program will benefit you (Maximum 1 page)

2. Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English and French: Provide a detailed CV highlighting your academic background, relevant experience, and any previous work in primate conservation or related fields.
