The African Primatological Society (APS) will hold its fourth congress in Yaoundé, Cameroon, from September 8-11, 2026. We are very proud and excited to announce this 2026 APS congress for the advancement of research and conservation of African primates.

📝 REGISTRATION

All participants must register in due form and pay the participation fee. You may wait for a definitive decision on submitted abstracts and/or a request for financial support before registering. However, you may register immediately if you are not awaiting such decisions.

✅ What Is Included

  • Access to all congress sessions (plenary, breakout, poster) for the full duration (8–11 September)
  • Lunches on congress days (9, 10, 11 September)

⚠️ Not included: accommodation, transport, pre/post-congress training (separate registration), and the field excursion (separate fee).

* Student/Early-career: students enrolled in a degree programme, or researchers within 5 years of their PhD award. Proof of status required upon registration.

💳 Payment

Payment may be made by bank transfer or Mobile Money. Details are provided on the registration form. A confirmation of payment will be sent by email within 5 working days of receipt.

✈️ Travel Bursaries

A limited number of bursaries are offered to selected African primatologists whose abstracts are accepted for oral or poster presentation. Priority will be given to applicants from African institutions.

Bursaries may cover partially or fully:

  • Return airfare (from an African city)
  • Accommodation (up to 5 nights)
  • Daily subsistence allowance

Applicants must apply for a bursary when submitting their abstract.

📋 Cancellation Policy

  • Before 31 July 2026 : 75% refund (25% administrative fee retained)
  • 1–20 August 2026 : 50% refund
  • After 20 August 2026 : No refund (substitution by a colleague is possible)

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the congress secretariat.
